1964 College Football Final Rankings

In 1964, both Alabama and Arkansas finished the regular season undefeated. Alabama lost its bowl game, while Arkansas won. However, because of the way the polling system worked in 1964, Alabama remained the national champion. (There was no voting after the bowls.) Looking back, which team should actually have won the national title? How about a tie for the championship between Arkansas and ... Notre Dame?
