Ranking the College Football Programs of the 60's

We had previously posted that San Diego State had the team of the 60's (or rather 1961-1970). However, with new rules instituted on our decade rankings, the Aztecs are inelligible because they only competed in the top division of college football for two years out of the decade. The minimum number of years to be ranked is three. This reflects a need for consistent success over multiple years in a decade to be so highly ranked. Our updated rankings properly place the Alabama Crimson Tide as the team of the 60's.
